The goal of St. Anthony’s music ministry is to enliven the faith of each person in the assembly, by moving each person to sing and express his or her faith.Liturgical music enhancesthe texts and rituals of the liturgy and moves the assembly to unity.
St. Anthony’s Catholic Community currently has many opportunities to help the congregation deepen their faith. All who are involved share faith, serve the community, and express the love of Godand neighbor through music.
Children’s Choir
grades 2-5
sings the 9:00 a.m. liturgy twice a month.
They rehearse on Thursday from 5:00-6:00 p.m.
Teen Choir
grade 6 and up
sings the 9:00 a.m. liturgy twice a month.
They rehearse on Thursday from 6:15-7:15p.m.
Praise Choir
an audition only adult contemporary ensemble
sings the 5:00 p.m. Saturday liturgy, (occasionally Sun 11:00 a.m.)
They rehearse on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
Instrumentalists
are welcome to join all choirs
Traditional Choir
is an adult SATB choir sings the 11:00 A.M. liturgy 3 times a month with rehearsals on
Wednesdays at 7:30 P.M.
Resurrection Choir
sings the funeral liturgies. They rehearse once a month on a Tuesday morning, and one half
hour before each funeral.
Cantors
are vocalists who sings the liturgy when no choir is scheduled.
They rehearse one Monday a month at 7:30 P.M.
